Pictures at an Exhibition. Supper with Picasso
"Supper with Picasso" is the title of my painting http://www.saatchiart.com/art/Paintin... and the title of the animation film. "Supper with Picasso" is not a story of everyday life. These are my thoughts about Art. I think contemporary art follows a false scent.
This is surreal off-the-wall humor. This is my protest against abomination in the contemporary art.
Picasso said:" The real artists are Giotto and Rembrandt, I'm just a clown, who understood his time". He was right.

What is to be done?
![]() |
| "Spring" by Olga Romanova |
What is contemporary art? It is Art of our time. But I am an artist who lives in our time. So I have the right to my opinion in Art. I don't like the contemporary experiments with Art. I don't understand why the dead shark must cost 12 million dollars. I don't like the contemporary "witchcraft". So I am not a contemporary artist. What is to be done?

My thoughts
There are many artist in the world. I would say too much. But in fact, there are few the talented artists in the world. And I am one from them. I think the real talent is as rare as the jewel in the sea. I think the talent artist have the right to a special approach. I am 43 and I am not a beginner artist. I would like to have a special approach to myself and to my works.

Read Art
"A White horse" by Olga Romanova, 2011
"What does not kill me, makes me stronger."
2011 was a year of change for me, the year of bad discoveries and disillusionments. I took a different view of this world and the people living in it. My emotions found an outlet in new art movement which I created in 2011. I named it the "Read Art".
In principle, the "Read Art" was born thanks to this experience. One day, I came home in a very bad mood (after another dose of injustice). I took the Bible and read: "Vengeance is mine, I will repay."
I wanted to impress these words in my memory forever, as a reminder that the evil is ruling over the world.
I drew this idea, as seen and understood. In a little while I realized that this was a new step in my work.
"Read Art" is painting that can be read. We can say, this is my conversation with the audience by means of colours.
Why did I choose the English language? Firstly, because I am studying it, and it is a very interesting process. Secondly, precisely because the language is not native, I see it more as a pattern, a kind of technique in painting, rather than as words.
"Read Art" is the ability to draw with the word and write with the thought.
These works were created under the impression of "Revelation."
